Gazpromneft – Lubricants Ltd has become a member of ATIEL, the largest association of lubricant manufacturers

Gazpromneft – Lubricants Ltd, the oil business operator of Gazpromneft, has become a full member of one of the largest international industry associations in the lubricants sector - the Technical Association of the European Lubricants Industry or ATIEL (Association Technique de l'Industrie Européenne des Lubrifiants).

ATIEL is one of the most influential associations of manufacturers and sellers of lubricants in the world. The participation in its activities will allow Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd to synchronize its own vector of development and new product development (R&D) with the latest European trends and constantly updating requirements of car manufacturers. The continuous professional dialogue that ATIEL keeps with car manufacturers (ACEA) and petroleum additive suppliers, (ATC) will also contribute to the effective development in the company's priority markets.

The main activities of the ATIEL encompass best practice and knowledge sharing, coordination of technical issues related to the performance characteristics and environmental requirements for motor oils, promotion of interaction between European automotive technical organizations, improvement of existing and development of new standards of quality of lubricants, and promotion of European standards around the world.

The Code of Practice designed by the Association is widely communicated in the industry as a set of recommendations for the development and production of lubricants compliant with the standards of the car manufacturers association ACEA (Association des Constructeurs Europeens de L'Automobile).

ATIEL was founded in 1985; it is registered in Brussels as a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG). It is a non-commercial, non-profit, non-political organization that includes a broad range of lubricants manufacturers, including the largest European and international oil companies. One of ATIEL's main objectives is to contribute to the development of lubricants that meet the requirements of European engine manufacturers. The Association members are BPCastrol, CEPSA Lubricantes, Chevron, Eni, ExxonMobil, Fuchs, GALP, Kuwait Petroleum, Lotos Oil, Neste Oil, ORLEN OIL, PETRONAS, REPSOL, Shell, SK Lubricants, Total etc.

Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd is a subsidiary company of Gazprom Neft PJSC specializing in production and sales of a wide range engine, transmission, hydraulic and industrial oils, greases and technical fluids. It was established in November 2007. The company has 5 production sites in Russia, Italy and Serbia. Overall production is 500K tones of high-quality oils, greases and technical fluids per year. At the Omsk Lubricants Production Plant operates the most modern in Russia high-technology complex for blending, filling and packaging of oils canning and packaging of oils. This production is designed for output of 300 thousand tons of oils, lubricants and technical liquids. Gazpromneft-Lubricants management and productive assets system is certified for compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO16949 and OHSAS 18001. The company supplies its products to the Russian conveyors of Daimler KAMAZ RUS, ROSTSELMASH, AC DERWAYS, KAMAZ, AVTOTOR (for Hyundai car range), GAZ, UAZ (Sollers), Belaz. The consumers of Gazpromneft-Lubricants industrial products are Severstal, Sibur, Gazprom, Evraz, MMK and other largest industrial companies. The product range includes 500 oil and grease items for all market segments (more than 1200 items).

The company’s products have more than 250 approvals of leading equipment manufacturers: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Volvo, Renault, General Motors, Cummins, MAN, KAMAZ, Bosch Rexroth and others. The company holds 15% of the market of lubricants in Russia, as well as it is working in the Mediterranean countries, the Balkans, Eastern and Northern Europe, CIS, Baltic States, Central and South-East Asia, Africa and others. In general, the company’s production is represented in more than 55 countries of the world.
